African, let me hear your name

Ningo, Ngasa, Sileshi, Mbianda, Numen, Dibakiyour name means peace, it means Unknown Soldier, it means warrior, it means truth, it means bringer of hope. Live up to the honor you have been bestowedgreat African, let me hear your name.

Shaka, Sankara, Mandela, Lumumba, Nkrumahthese names bring memories, they carry strength, they carry hope, our hopessay it out loud and dont be shysweet African let me hear your name.

Fomunyoh, Tamfu, Ndefru, Atanga, Ketchaour names carry a lot of meaning, and strength. The spirit of those we are named after transcend the times to empower us at presentgood African, let me hear your name.

Bethuluezi, Ngwa, Okoronkwo, Fru Tambu, Gwanduacombine the vowels and the consonants
Place them next to each other and follow no orderlovely African let me hear your name.

Awambeng, NgonAndjam, Azohmbi, Tabah, Ikeogutwist your tongue, fold your lips, keep it hollow and say it solobeautiful African let me hear your name.

Kunta, Awolowo, Aquessi, Kashala, Tomdioyou are the guardian of a great heritage, the protector of a timeless legacyoh African, let me hear your name.

Nnamdi, Bongila, Foretia, Ngwafor, Morfaw, Verlanever or rarely have others tried to adopt our names, does that carry a hidden message? This is our heritage, the source of our strength, the bedrock of our societiesproud African let me hear your name.

Fangdoh, Nehbi, Ntumdia, Senwu, Kuti, Njintahthese are the names we bear, the pride of our parentsstand with your shoulders tall, and stick out your chest, embrace your roots, and unleash the potential within youproud African let me hear your name.

Tabukum, Awusu, Shabalala, LeShey, MandlaHave you ever been shy to hear your own name spoken, have you out of insecurity modified your name or given yourself a nickname? Why precious African? Its not about your name but what is inside of you and last I checked mother Africa endowed you with strength, wisdom and love. Dearest African let me hear your name and when you speak it, do it with pride.
