ASCOVIME largesse to Batibo epileptic victims
June 3, 2014

A team of medical doctors are expected in Batibo Sub-Division to offer free consultations and drugs for the treatment and control of epilepsy. The free medical exercise shall hold on June 7, 2013 in Kulabei village.

The team of 35 health personnel including doctors from Germany and the United States is led by Dr. George Bwelle promoter of the ASCOVIME Foundation, which initiated the health charity.

It should be noted that the Batibo Health District is one of the zones in Cameroon noted for rampant cases of epilepsy. In fact the villages find it difficult to accept that it has a natural cause and has been attributing it to witchcraft.

Batibo Sub-Division is found in Momo Division in the North West Region of Cameroon.
