PATRICIA CAMPEN MEDLEY

Patricia Campen Medley has served as an elected Knox County (Tennessee - USA) Commissioner for District 3 since 1992, and currently serves on several District committees, including Education, Intergovernmental, Economic Development; TN Technology Corridor Development Authority; Pension and Retirement; Knox County Railroad Authority; and, Knox County Beer Board. Ms. Medley is also Administrative Manager for Control Technology, Inc.

Ms. Medley's commitment to community service is well known in the region. Her community service activities include: Leadership Knoxville (Class of 1987 & Board of Directors 1995-1999), Tennessee Leadership, International Women's Forum (Tennessee Chapter), Tennessee Technology Development Corporation (gubernatorial appt.), President-elect of the Executive Women's Association (EWA), University of Tennessee College of Education Board of Visitors, YMCA Board of Directors, Tennessee Donor Services Board, The City Ballet Board of Directors, and The Knoxville Award.

As an educator, Ms. Medley was a member of St. Mary's Medical Center Health System Board, University of Tennessee Women's Council, Drop Out Task Force, Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, KnoxVision 2000 Education Committee, East Tennessee Foundation, Junior Achievement Board, Metropolitan Drug Commission, and the Knox County Literacy Task Force. She has held leadership positions with the Knoxville City School Board and served as Adopt-a-School Board, President.

Ms. Medley received a BA in French and English from University of Tennessee, Knoxville (1967) and did post-graduate work at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and The Sorbonne in Paris, France. Ms Medley resides in Knoxville with her husband, Mark Medley, President and Chief Executive Officer of Control Technology, Inc., and their three daughters.
